Upper Extremity Ischemia Complicating Ulcerative Plaque in Descending Aorta
A 54-year-old female patient was presented with upper extremity ischemia. Further investigation revealed ulcerated atherosclerosis plaque in aorta with intramural hematoma and clot formation. The subject underwent a successful surgical resection of mass with the assistance of cardiopulmonary bypass and total circulatory arrest.
متن کامل[Myocardial ischemia caused by an anomalous circumflex coronary artery].
The case of a 71-year-old male patient, with symptoms of dizzines and atypical chest pain and a positive isotopic exercise stress test, is reported. Coronary angiography demostrated an anomalous origin of the left circumflex coronary artery from right coronary ostium but no obstructive atherosclerotic coronary lesions. The possible relation between the congenital coronary anomaly and the clinic...
متن کاملAutogenous arteriovenous elbow fistula for haemodialysis and upper extremity ischemia.
BACKGROUND The autogenous brachiocephalic or brachiobasilic arteriovenous elbow fistula is not considered to be only the secondary haemodialysis access. In patients with an unsuitable forearm vessel bundle, it is indicated as primary access and it is the method preferred to the fistula creation using a vascular prosthesis. Its rather rare complication is the development of upper extremity ische...
متن کاملErgotamine-Induced Upper Extremity Ischemia: A Case Report
Ergotamine-induced limb ischemia is an extremely rare case. We present a case of a 64-year-old man, who developed ischemia on the right upper extremity due to long-term use of Ergot for migraine headache. Angiography revealed diffused, smooth, and tapered narrowing of the brachial artery. The patient was successfully treated with intravenous nitroprusside.
